The Opportunity - Artist-Curator Fellowship
 
This is a call-out opportunity for a visual artist living in or around Coventry, and interested in pursuing a curatorial practice fellowship. It will be part of the Coventry ‘fringe’ programme connected to the British Art Show (BAS), called Coventry Art Show (CAS), and also known as BAS X CAS
●     The artist will have the opportunity to explore what is involved in producing an exhibition from research stage through to installation in a way that is meaningful to them in shaping their own practice as a curator
 
●     The call out is managed by Art Riot Collective (ARC), an organisation which supports Disabled, D/deaf and Neurodivergent artists in the West Midlands
 
●     The successful artist will have 10 residency days and 10 reflection/ rest days that will run alongside British Art Show 10
 
 
The successful applicant will receive:
 
 
●     Artist-Curator Fee of £5020 plus Expenses of £400
 
●     Access to mentorship and connections through ARC
 
●     Conversations with artists, curators and technicians
 
●    Studio visits with artists and collections and exhibition tours of British Art Show 10
 
●     Access and Creative support for the 10 residency days
