Corinne is a Disabled, Queer self-portrait artist who makes work from their 2 by 1.5 metre artist studio space, their bed. Chronically ill since childhood, Corinne’s health has confined them to bed almost every day for seven years. From this place of seclusion Corinne uses performance, soft sculpture and photography to tell stories of fragile health, their gender-fluid identity and isolation. 

Central to Corinne’s practice is “Daisy”, their only childhood and imaginary friend, whose comforting presence is symbolised through Corinne’s frequent inclusion of daisy flowers.

Corinne received Art Council England DYCP funding to prototype Daisyland, a virtual Queer utopia and curatorial platform, influenced by the magical world Corinne and Daisy made to escape a difficult childhood. In 2025 Corinne toured The Severed Wing, commissioned by LOWRY, made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England.

Currently Corinne is making new work inspired by their family’s coal mining heritage, commissioned by National Coal Mining Museum for England, supported by renowned Disabled Artist Jason Wilsher-Mills MBE. 

Corinne’s work is part of the George Marshall Medical Museum, The New Art Gallery Walsall Twenty Twenty Collection, and Outside In’s permanent collection. Corinne also features in a book by founding Director of Outside In Marc Steene OBE entitled Outside In - Exploring the margins of art.

Corinne is an experienced facilitator often leading remote workshops, artist talks and mentoring other Disabled/Neurodivergent artists.
